Continuous cooperation between the Joint Chamber and the Yazd Chamber of Commerce to develop Iran-Spain relations


Dr. Taheri, while referring to the effective meeting with Mr. Benito Gaspar, the esteemed Spanish Ambassador to Iran, appreciated Mr. Dastmalchian for his warm welcome to the Spanish Ambassador. 

He explained that such meetings, especially considering the Ambassadors emphasis on the warmth and hospitality of the people of Yazd, would be an effective step towards strengthening people-to-people diplomacy and developing friendly relations between the two countries. Undoubtedly, this type of interaction will introduce the real face of Iran and especially Yazd province as an attractive destination for investment and tourism to Spain and the world.

Dr. Taheri, while referring to the high potential of Yazd province in the field of tourism, emphasized the need to introduce the tourist attractions of this province to Spanish officials. He believes that by better introducing the tourist attractions of Yazd, it is possible to create the ground for attracting Spanish tourists to Iran.

Mr. Dastmalchian, while referring to the high capacities of Yazd province in various fields, including tiles and ceramics, emphasized the need to introduce these potentials to the Spanish business community. He proposed establishing an Iranian tile and ceramic center in Spain and a permanent exhibition of Iranian construction equipment in this country. Also, Mr. Dastmalchian referred to the initial agreements reached for the twinning of Yazd province and Seville province in Spain and emphasized the need to follow up on this matter. Dr. Taheri, while appreciating the mentioned points, emphasized the support and, if necessary, the necessary follow-ups.

Other topics of discussion in this meeting were the importance of developing friendly relations between the two countries and finding solutions to the problems of Iranians residing in Spain.

This meeting has provided a valuable opportunity to identify and exploit the existing potential in Iran-Spain trade relations. The private sector has a strong determination to expand economic cooperation with other countries, including Spain, and with future cooperation, a valuable opportunity has been created to identify and exploit existing potentials, including investment, exports and imports, and relations between the two countries.
